Overall I think it was a great year for music. I still don't know what I would consider album of the year. I have never heard this album tho, I'll be checking it out tonight.

I don't really listen to much mainstream music anymore but Kanye West's new album is mindblowing actually. I'm one of the biggest Kanye haters out there and I don't like much of the new "rap" out, but even I have to admit this album is next level.

I have never heard of this band before. But did give it a listen yesterday, not my kinda of music but was pretty good all the way thru.

I have been hooked to this album also, and I am a Kanye Fan. Dunno if I would say it is my fav of the year yet tho.

I'm not a huge Kanye fan, I like some of the stuff he has done, but this album really impressed me. The choir that he has singing the opening of the album after the spoken word part gave me chills. The music seems pretty mature, if that makes sense.

I'm sure you have already heard it but check this song out

US Placers by Child Rebel Soldier.....its Lupe, Kanye and Pharrell

It's a massive toss-up for me. But, here is the list of my favorite's:

5FDP- (Any Album! I know none of them were released in 2010, but 5FDP ROCKS!!!!)
    Disturbed- Asylum
    A7X- Nightmare
    Godsmack- The Oracle
All That Remains- We Are Many

Yea, this was a great year for music!

Slash's album was cool. I love albums like that with all the guest vocalists.

  17. For sure. I think it would genius of Mike Portnoy to do the same concept now that he's not really with a band anymore.

I wanted to say Disturbed's Asylum but it really can't compare to Indestructible.

maybe not the BEST album of the year but Mumford & Sons 'Sigh No More' deserves a mention. their sound is so new and different. their lyrics are amazing a VERY deep, also they blew up out of NOWHERE about 6 months ago.
