Support 3.5g??

    Well of course the G1 is capable of 3G network connection. well I happen to look at the HTC website for a second at http://www.htc.com/www/product/g1/overview.html and if you scroll down where it give some features of the phone it states "High-Speed 3.5G network connection."

    I'm sure there's some simple explanation for this like a typo or something but just thought I'd post it so that someone might let me in on what this means because t-mobile is only soon going to be releasing a 3G network, they can't be getting ready to release some EVEN FASTER 3.5G network yet.....

    Well, you can always start by going to google and punching in "3.5G" :) but here's the summary:

    AFAIK, T-Mobile is UMTS HSPDA, just like the iPhone. So yeah, you're going to get 3.5G.

    a little history:
    2G - GPRS
    2,5G - GPRS+EDGE
    3G - UMTS
    3,5G - 3G+HSDPA
    4G - WiMax (will be, very soon)
