I am trying to use a 32Gb micro SD card in my Samsung Epic phone but I have the following problem after copying files to the card: After safely "undocking" the phone during the "media scanning" process, I receive a "the SD Card is damaged" message and I have to format the card again to be able to use it in the phone.

I can copy thousands of files to the 16Gb card that came with the phone without any problems. Is anyone else having 32Gb micro SD problems or do I just have a defective card? Thanks!

Who made the card and where did you get it from? There have been a lot of fakes on ebay.

more importantly, what in the world do you have on your phone that needs 32 gig!?

ha jk. did you have to format it first before using it? reputable brand? - possible you got a crappy brand or defective card from reputable brand?

Either its a defective card or a fake. If you got it from eBay, its more than likely a fake.

Yes, I agree, it's probably defective/fake. However, I did use a format utility right from the "SDCard.org" website and it formats out to 31.8 Gb, so at least that part is accurate.

Oh, and I have about 28 Gbytes of music...I'm an old guy and have collected a lot over the years.:D
