4.2.2 renders flashplayer useless?

Prior to the 4.2.2 update, and when we bought the tablet, I manually installed flashplayer so that my daughter could access her reading eggs etc. All was working fine, until the latest update and now it does not work.

Anyone got a fix for this other than restoring to factory update and not EVER updating the software? lol

I have updated to 4.2.2 and Flash still works but only with the Boat browser which I would recommend anyway.
