Here are the dimensons to save somebody a couple of computer clicks.

    129.9 mm x 69.6 mm x 9.59 mm

To put that in perspective of a 4.3 inch screen phone, here are the evo 3d dimensions.

    126.1 mm x 65.4 mm x 11.3 mm

You can see that it is not that different, and is in fact slimmer than the evo 3d.

I went ahead and sketched out the dimensions of both of these phones on paper with a ruler so I could see the dimensons side by side. To be honest you can barely tell a difference, even side by side.

I can take a pic of my drawing and post if anybody cares to see. It will be a while before I am to my computer though, so just let me know if anybody is interested.

Will do! I just need to finish getting my kids to bed, study for a test, and take it online before midnight. Ill get it posted after all that.

This is not a good night for all this new info to come out, all I want to do is keep reading more about this phone.

Here ya go. This is just a rough drawing that I did while bathing my 2 yr old. I did use a ruler though. I took the pic with my phone as well, so not the best quality.

Now to get back to studying.......if I can resist checking back on the forums every few minutes.

I hope this works, I've never posted a pic before.

This will be my next phone. I was waiting for this to come out and compare it to the Photon. The specs are beastly and the ease of rooting it compared to any Motorola device will push me to this one. Here I come Sprint store on the 16th!

Interestingly, the slimmer screen is more appropriate for watching movies. With the thicker screen, you get those black bars at the bottom and top of the screen.

Until we get reports on call quality, speaker quality and GPS performance, the only thing I can see that would make this phone perfect would be a nice kickstand.

Ten bucks there will be a case with a built in kickstand available. I know Seidio has made them for some phones.

Well I doubt they changed the internals of the phone that much from the UK version which was great in all of those categories, so I don't think it would change significantly. (Hopefully)

I am for one glad they didn't throw in a kickstand, I still have never used mine. I think it is worthless personally, but I know a lot of people like them.

Yup speaker quality and volume. I need that big time. The Samsung Infuse's speakerphone is too quiet for me. My buddy's Galaxy S2 is louder but it distorts at high volume (maybe a dud?). I hope the Sprint version gets an upgraded external speaker. They should have the space as the phone is thicker now.

These phones are getting to big...honestly.

Really I thought that 4.3 in. would be my max, but this phone isn't that much bigger than an EVO 4G. The screen size is really just a bonus and its way thinner than an EVO also.

^but its a PHONE. I still think the EVO screen is too big.

Thin doesn't mean squat if its the size if a freaking index card. It's even worse if the resolution doesn't increase with the screen size.

I wish Sprint would have chosen a smaller screen.

I agree. I'm still waiting to try the phone out, I hope it won't feel or look as large as the infuse does.

You know... I just pulled up the following size comparison and if they have accurate dimensions for the E4T, it looks like the size is pretty decent, at least compared to the Evos:
Sized Up: Epic 4G Touch vs Evo 3D vs evo 4g

I like the size of the Evo 3D and when comparing the E4T to the Evo 3d, they are surprisingly similar.

^See the phone is BARELY taller and wider than a 3VO but you get a bigger screen which is amazing! I really don't see a reason to complain.

Edit: Also when I saw the Infuse's screen the text still looked good and it really didn't need a bump in resolution.

Thanks, this looks much better than my paper and pencil drawing above. I was worried when I heard how big the screen was, but I was ok with the evo 3d size, and this is barely larger. I'm sold on this phone and will be ordering it as soo as I can. My upgrade is on the 15 th, the day before it is released.

It should still easily fit in my pocket, cuz the EVO 3D fits fine with room to spare. Thankfully I don't put anything else in the same pocket as my phone, cuz I'm anal about keys bumping against the screen and stuff.

If I was you, I'd call Sprint up and straight up ask them if you can get it a little early, we're only talking about a month and a half early. Worst they can say is no, got nothing to lose.
