4g tethered Speeds

    On Speakeasy im getting 5mbps download on 4g with one bar. But on Speedtest im only getting .5mbps which one is right?????? Both servers are out of Dallas. This is crazy

    Your upload is slower than my upload on 3G other than that it's pretty good. Too bad it's powered by a device that will not give you more than 2 hours of tether time before the battery drains dead.

    Its charging while its tethered it wont go dead? Ive left it tethered for 6+ hours

    No not if it's on the charger but that pretty much defeats the purpose of a MOBILE hot spot.

    I don't know of any device that will last more than 2-3 hours when doing full tethering. Not the Epic, not the EVO, not the Pre, not the Droid, not even my old terrible Nokia on GPRS using bluetooth.

    Not at all. Had a friend come to town for the summer to visit. Crashed in a vacant condo owned by a friend. He tethered his laptop to his phone in the condo and used it as his primary internet source.

    Mobile implies portable, not necessarily wireless.

    No it doesn't. It just means you have mobile internet for your computer out other device.

    When I said tethered I meant via USB and PDA net. sorry for the confusion
