4g works for 5 minSupport

    Then data locks up then reboots my phone. So far not impressed with LTE.

    I have done a factory reset , took out the sin chip and put it back in. Even done a battery pull. I had the same problem in Atlanta and now Orlando. Was so excited to try out 4g and now frustrated with it. So anyone have any clues what I can do ?

    Take the phone back and replace it.

    kinda hard as I am in Orlando on vacation. When I get back we don't have 4G service. Plus ordered my phone online through Verizon.

    I think that is your best option however. I have had ZERO problems with 4G or the problems that you speak of.

    Sounds like a phone problem. I was in orlando the other day and got 4g the entire day with dl speeds around 20mbps.

    The suggested route by VZW tech sup is to do what you did. The SIM auto registers so no need to call. If this does not fix the issues you can take it to any VZW corp store.... not ma and pa shop, and get the sim card replaced at no cost. Verify on the spot that 4g does indeed work.

    Also there is an OTA getting pushed in the next few days that should be fixing / improving LTE transitions. If your root you can get it now.

    If your battery is taking a hit and or data is disruptive because of the 4g scan issues you can DL from the market LTE OnOff and change the data flow for just 3g (CDMA auto (PRL) and it will force the phone to see just 3g for now... then you can change it back whenever you want.

    So far I have been on 4G for about 15 min and no lock up. Who knows what's up with this phone.

    Ok heres a problem bet you never heard. As long as I am charging my phone 4g works fine. when I unplug 4g locks up and have to reboot. I am thinking phone is bad as few has said.

    Not rooted and dont want to do anything to the phone that big red dont approve of at this time. I am slowly getting more info to use against big red crappy customer service. I they say do a factory reset. I am going to lose it. I might offer to factory reset their brain :D

    I hear ya... Ive already hard reset twice w/ sim pulls. The bozo vzw tech actually threatened to void my warranty for switching the phone over to CDMA auto (PRL) 3g only so I could actually use my phone like it was intended for.... like I caused the shitty 4g problem.


    Frustrating to say the least. I told him I just bought the phone 3 days ago and was considering filing a class action suit against Verizon for an undisclosed list presently being compiled by a growing group of Verizon customers having identical unresolved issues. Judging from the moment of silence I received I thought for sure he was transferring me to the legal department... ;)

    That's awesome!! Did you get any free accessories during that call? You probably could have taken one of everything, lol. I wish VZW would hire educated people for CS.

    X2. Why do they think a factory reset is going to really fix anything. It's almost like going to a military doctor. No matter whats wrong with you . They will always prescribe motrin. They need to hire some of the people on here. Then most peoples phones would be fixed in no time. After all you don't put an idiot in charge of a nuclear reactor..

    This is the truth. Hard reset is the most common level one solution... not just for our phones but for 80% of all tech calls that come through. We (Android / T-Bolt / (people that know and care how this shit works), represent 0.09% of the overall support base needing service. So the bottom line is move the support call down the queue to level 2 if needed as quick as possible. With the massive call center cutbacks and the volume they see our special interest means nothing to them. The only time they even budge is when legal gets involved... sadly enough.:(. The days when they had the money to buy qualified support teams no longer exist... at least not at level one support.


    I would have loved it if the tech offered me some juicy accessories... like the media dock for example. O wait... that's not out yet either... :mad: Good job vzw. Another example of misrepresentation.
