5 slot over 7 slot

    what do the slot mean on the overclock section. and which is better and what do you run!

    I believe the "slots" give you different overclocking speed choices....

    i.e....

    5 slots may give you 250/450/550/850/1000 mhz

    7 slots may give you 200/400/500/700/800/900/1000 mhz


    these are made up speeds, but would depend on the particular build of the kernel....

    someone with more experience may be able to add additional differences or benefits...I'm sure there is more to it that what I've mentioned....

    I'm running a bekit 7 slot 1000 mhz kernel....with JRummy's CM 5.0.5.7 ROM....

    kind of experimenting to see which runs better on my phone with this ROM....some say some of the 5 slots run a little hotter.....

    If you haven't downloaded the ROM Manager app, it really makes it easy to try out the different kernels, ROMs, themes, etc.....I've had good luck with P3's 1000mhz kernel as well with Koush's ROMs....
