Help 8g to 32 g card

I have a rooted [CM7] Nookcolor with an 8g mSD and want to upgrade to a 32g. I am having trouble with trying to copy all to harddrive and then copying to new card. When I put the 8g in the computer it sees it and all the files, when I tell it to copy it starts and then has mulitple files that "unable to copy". Even accepting these as OK - it does not actually move the files over. any ideas?

As is runs fine -but have 7g on the 8g card, so thought it was time to upgrade.
Also cannot just hook NC to computer after rooting, it is not seen as a peripheral at all.

Windows 7 - on HP laptop.

Your best bet would be to plug old and new usb drives into your computer, boot off a partitioning cd like BootItNg then copy your partitions from card 1 to card 2 and finally resize the last partition to use the full scard.
