I've used my Droid for a few days, and I've put together 9 questions I don't have answers to. Any help would be appreciated:
    1. Is there a way to have the speakerphone 'on' by default (for every new incoming and outgoing call), rather than press to activate it with each and every call?
    2. Can I engage Bluetooth before a call is connected so that I can hear dialing sounds in my earpiece, rather than after the call is already placed?
    3. Under Settings, what is

Re. item 6: apparently you FIRST have to assign a picture to the contact, THEN create a direct-dial shortcut. If you add a picture to a contact AFTER you already have a direct-dial icon on your home screen, the icon won't update to reflect the picture. A minor bug, if you ask me, but at least I can get it to work now (by deleting then re-creating a direct dial shortcut after I add a picture to the contact). Thanks for your reply!

Would ALSO love answers to the following questions (from above):

    • 1. Is there a way to have the speakerphone 'on' by default (for every new incoming and outgoing call), rather than press to activate it with each and every call?
    • 5. After I end a call, the screen goes to the Call Log screen—any way to have it go to the home screen instead?? (Specifically for me because when it's gone to that call log, somehow it always then decides to dial someone who is on that visible call log - usually my mother!)

These are two reasons why I came to this forum for help!

Your question about dialing while driving without having to interact with the phone is now answered. I do not however condone use of a phone while driving except for actual emergencies and that is no bs disclaimer but the solid Fact. Please, do not do that. It is not safe. As a person with sight in only one eye I need a way I can dial without having to touch certain parts of the screen to unlock and so forth if I were to get something in my good eye and be in need of 911 so I don't go permanently blind! With a Jawbone Era I use one of the few nice dialers they offer for free. I tap the Jawbone twice and it activates voice dialing. I say "call..." and the name of a contact Or "dial..." and then a number. It does the rest. Unfortunately, mine isn't very accurate at all, often trying to dial the wrong contact when I attempt to dial that way. The good part though is that when you say "dial..." and a number (such as "dial 911") that always works - well, it works so far anyway. LOL I didn't try with 911 but did with several other similar numbers and many 10 digit numbers. while it's not been flawless, without background noise it's way more accurate used this way.
