EVERVOLV 4.4.2 KITKAT

THIS IS KITKAT 4.4.2 AOSP BASED ON EVERVOLV AFTERMARKET FIRMWARE

WHAT'S WORKING ?

I'VE BEEN TESTING THIS OUT FOR 2 DAYS

THE ISSUES LIKE BLUETOOTH

OR VIDEO CAMERA ALL HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF HERE

EVERYTHING WORKS

EXCEPT I THINK THE DATA IS A LITTLE WONKY

BUT I'M SURE THAT'S SOMETHING WE CAN WORK OUT PRETTY FAST

PLEASE POST ANY BUGS HERE SO WE ALL KNOW WHAT TO FIX !!

i am not sure if rom is flashable through our cwm 5.0.2.2 recovery so i upgraded to the 5.8.0.1 touch cwm recovery and it works like a charm

first download this recovery flasher app
http://www.dropbox.com/s/k1mdaynxdwlrvjo/FlashImageGUI.apk?m

then the 5.8.0.1 recovery.img

http://www.dropbox.com/s/2p5udpdrhhraq63/recovery.img?m

make sure you put the recovery.img on the root of your sd card

go to your flash image
click recovery image in the app
then browse and find where ever you downloaded the 5.8.0.1 recovery and then click flash image and there you go just hit reboot to recovery
and check out your new touch recovery !!!

then the rom

http://www.dropbox.com/s/pm0brjn56dqqxeb/ev_supersonic-4.0.0-acies.zip?m

install instructions

boot into the recovery
wipe data and cache
go to mounts and storage
format data,cache and system
goto advanced and wipe dalvic cache
then goto install from sd
select it and navigate to the rom.zip
select yes to install
after install goto reboot system now and there y go

thanks to all the evervolv team

for the firmware

I put this on one of my Evo's to play around with. It was strange picking up my Evo after putting it down several months ago, but it's still a "gem" of a phone.

I still have one lying around but it's got no sd card! LOL. It was strange to pick mine up after 2 years. Esp since having a Note and Note 2 since then. The EVO is tiny! :p:D

please excuse my noobness, but i cant install gapps.....tried over and over, any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks
Not sure :hmmmm: I would think being AOSP based, you would need gapps, but I see no link for the gapps package.
Nor do I see instructions in the op for flashing gapps.
Perhaps they are baked into the rom.??

@biker..did you need a gapps package?

Well that didn't take too long. First, I had to unlock the boot loader since it was an old HTC and it was locked. Second, I had to root the phone. Lastly, I followed the instructions from andriodadmirer. It worked like a charm. I just installed a few apps using ADB (Pandora, Netflix, etc). Pandora works great. Netflix opens and has my account, but won't play a video--I'll figure that out later. Anyways, I'm stoked I can use this old phone to play music (and hopefully video via HDMI on my kitchen TV).
