    If a politician had to get out of government for not knowing about the workings of an industry they meant to govern, then we wouldn't have ANY politicians in office. That's actually not a bad idea, now that I think about it....

    Awww... c'mon! Think of the good (or bad ;)) you could do!?! :D
    That's true. But it sucks when we have them making laws and policy on things they have no damn clue about.

    They should bring in experts (not lobbyists!) to teach them about what the industry is. Or we should get new politicians*.

    I thought that was the idea of a presidential system? :D In parliamentary systems, all the departments are run by teachers, and the odd doctor.
