A question about wifi and what it shows?

    so I connected my wifi to my home network, and I was surprised to not see it with the other systems connected throughout the house. I have really never used my droid wifi, but this was interesting, are cellphone wifi's anonymous?:D

    Where did you not "see" it? Attached devices in your router software? You should be able at the very least to see the MAC address of the Droid when it's connected.

    What nstallion said. It will be in the connected devices-MAC addresses list. And your router also has to assign a ip address to it so can actually use the net through the router.

    Maybe your using Apple equipment? I know Apple routers will show the actual names of the equipment connected (ex:"Ted Danson's MacBook Pro") but won't show a name if its a non-apple device.
