When we get the 2.1 upgrade (wishful thinking :)) will we only be able to access the leap view while having HTC Sense UI turned on? I enjoy my eris alot more with the Sense UI turned off and just using the standard three screen android UI so will I have to go back to sense to use the leap view?

    Thanks!

ya, "leap view," when you pinch in on the home screen, it gives you a view of all 7 home screens. my guess would be yes, because it is an htc sense feature, and neither the nexus or moto droid have it. unless it's an apk, and not built into sense, i don't see how it would be possible...

Hmm well hopefully someone will be able to figure out a download for the .apk and we will be able to run it on standard android devices as well.

Leap is built into Sense. As far as I know, it is not a standalone program.

Leap is built into Sense with 2.1. It's easier to touch the Home button when you're on the main screen than to try to pinch in.

Why would you need the 'leap' feature for only 3 screens? Just wondering.

Leap is working in the 2.1v3. Its the same thing as the "helicopter" view talked about in a previous 2.1 OTA back for the moto droid. On any home screen, pinch and it pulls up mini screens, like tabs, of all the home screens. You can do the same thing by pressing Home if already on the main home screen.
It can be very useful for jumping around, especially if you think 7 screens is excessive.
