About to gummy my droidx and wanted to make sure that if I use Launcher pro and widget locker they are not considered "Themes"

They are applications, not themes. An easy way to tell the difference is how they're usually installed. Apps come from market directly and android installs them. Themes are typically downloaded as .zip files and installed by rebooting into clockwork recovery (i.e. how you install the rom in the first place).

Anytime you install something in clockwork, you risk screwing up your /system partition, which renders the phone unbootable. Measure twice, cut once. Always be absolutely certain that the .zip file you're installing is meant for your current rom. Always be certain that a rom you're installing works with your version of the bootloader (the rom authors ought to explain this in the installation instructions).

Make sure you have a stock backup in recovery, so you can get the OTA.

If you're not stock, a backup will get you back to where you are today, if you don't like GJ.
