Acer Liquid E No Sim card issue

    Got my Acer Liquid in the mail last night from Rogers
    I popped in the Sim Card from the old phone, but it cant be found on phone
    Always see the 'No Sim Card' error
    I tried setting up the Network manually but when selecting rogers it wont work :-(

    Anyone has similar issue or knows how to resolve?

    Let me know, Thanks

    Also the Sim Card works fine on an old phone (which is Sony Ericsson W200a)

    When I got mine I just poped out my sim from my N95 and it worked fine.

    One question are you a Rogers customer ?

    If not there is a SIM LOCK on the phone. (Mobileincanada can unlock the phone via email)

    Yes I was always a Rogers customer
    and this is the same Rogers Sim Card I have used on my old phone...
    Maybe they changed Sim Cards and didnt tell me (I haven't upgraded my phone for 3 years now)

    I'll try to go to the store then, see what they say

    As I had suspected
    My old SIM card did not work with the Acer Liquid E
    So I had to replace it at the store and the new one worked
    Still couldn't get my contacts from an old SIM card though
    oh well...

    You can use Acsr Sync and transfer the contacts from Outlook
