Alright, I am going to go with this one:

    http://androidforums.com/lounge/1-testing.html

It may look unassuming, but it just happens to be the first thread on AF. Without this thread kicking it off, (and its OP ;)) We wouldn't have had any of these posts everyone is linking now. Nuff said.

All the good stuff. There would also be the Q as item #4, but we'll see how that ecosystem expands.

THIS Is Why You’ll Want a Tegra 3 Device [SHADOWGUN] It was the first post I read when I joined :) It was also this first game I'd play for hours on my Android device lol. I started at a good point, because since then, this has been my first stop for anything and everything Android.

How to root the HTC Hero.

The hero wasn't the first android device, but it was the first one to be really popular internationally. When people started to learn what they could do with their device with a little hacking, they were intrigued, but scared. This thread was the one stop shop for everything you needed to know, and it was written in plain English for everyone to understand.

It was a shining beacon of light in a sea of Linux technical jargon, and held many peoples hand into their first android experience. Its the thread that got a lot of people interested in the inner workings of android and I believe deserves recognition.

My hero is looking a little old now (since my Inc s broke out of warranty :()... could do with an upgrade :D

I vote CONTEST: Google IO Gift Pack #3… World’s Best Android Forums as the best thread because it lead me to this contest thread and because this contest thread will lead me to the treasure trove and the treasure trove contains:

    A Galaxy Nexus
    A Nexus 7
    A Nexus Q

...and those three things will bring me many more chances to visit the android forums!

As an actual Android Hardcore user and developer, this thread was really helpful while the new android OS; ICS was introduced. It was so much easier for me to understand the OS as a whole. Really appreciated all the info given here.

Do you have a tip/trick for ICS? Post it here.
