Anyone besides me looking forward to how awesome this game is gonna be!?
I am intrigued. The concept is so different. The graphics look amazing. I am definitely picking it up around release day. I remember buying my Xbox 360 in October of 2006 and picking up a free copy of Game Informer, and they had a write about about this game. It's been a long time coming.
I'm pumped for this game. Are you guys watching the live action prequel episodes on xbox live? They're pretty freaky.

Nawwwwwww, I haven't checked it out. I haven't had much time to play my 360 lately
I'll be picking this bad boy up once I get back from my vacation.
Really intrigued. Already preordered my copy. Should be awesome. Let's hope it lives up to it.
Enjoy the Wii-like 540p resolutions and screen tearing of this overhyped and sure to underdeliver title...

I am pissed. I first saw this game in 2004 or 2005 at E3 (in the ATI theater). I always kept up with development...UNTIL it went Xbox Only (no PC version). Then I just said to hell with it...
I'm really pumped for this weekend, will be funny to see what the finnish studio have done with this game.
Will probably be hooked on coffee that weekend haha
Alan Wake is amazing. That's all I can say w/o spoiling it for you
I thought Alan Wake was okay. Interested gameplay concept. Very repetitive. The main character is sort of a douche, so its hard to want him to succeed. Regardless its worth renting and beating quickly.
I wanna play Alan Wake when I get some time. Heard it is a great game. I am a fan of Silent Hill Series too so I like scary looking games. Will have to play in the dark and with the sound turned way up. lol
Haha, that's exactly how I did it!
Just finished this game and I thought it was awesome! It's definitely not like any other game I've played before. It's almost like an interactive movie. I love the story line and the ending has me pumped for Alan Wake 2.
That's assuming they make one. I don't think they will imo. They plan on releasing DLC to cover up all the missing patches I think. First DLC already was released and I beat it recently, was well worth the purchase.
MAJOR MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT!!!! SERIOUSLY, THINK TWICE ABOUT SHOWING THIS HIDDEN TEXT IF YOU HAVEN'T COMPLETELY FINISHED THE GAME!!!!
I honestly think that the ending set everything up for a sequel. Especially his comment about the darkness not being a lake but an ocean. I just don't see how they could wrap that up in a DLC. Obviously, the darkness has survived and is larger than just Bright Falls.
I guess I can see your point. Only time will tell
is this game out yet?
Ohhh yeah. It came out a few months ago. You might be able to find a cheap copy on eBay or used from a game store.
I picked it up from BestBuy: Alan Wake - Xbox 360 only 39.99 and I also had $20 in reward zone certificates.
I havent played it much. But there is a part near the beginning that scared the hell outta my kids. I dont wanna give anything away to folks that didnt play it yet, but you'll know ehwn it happens. Make sure the volume is up...LOL!!
I didnt realize I had the volume was up loud...lol Scared me too...
kratos said it good, its like an interactive movie. Its like Heavy Rain, but with more action to it. Its a cross between Heavy Rain and an action, adventure game.
Heavy Rain is definitely like an interactive movie all the way.
I played the Heavy Rain demo and I think I like Alan Wake better. Just my own opinion.
I do too. Its no action type things to do on Heavy Rain. Its press this button, move this stick this way...Its like that Dragons Lair game from back in the day.
Now I just need to find all the collectibles. I thought I was doing good about it, but I missed a few manuscript pages, one tv show, one radio show, like 20 coffee thermoses, all of the alarm clocks, and all of the cardboard stand ups.
I didn't even realize that there were alarm clocks or cardboard stand ups until I finished the game and looked at the stats.
Well, I guess that could be considered replay value...
this game reminded me of alone in the dark, but without the bugs. i thought this game was good, but not GREAT . its worth playing at least once. graphics are good, cut scenes r good, story line is good, but it does get pretty repetative. and i hate running out of ammo! (played it on the hardest mode)
I'm missing 1 radio show and have no idea where the hell it is. I found 7 of the 10 alarm clocks and I got all of the cardboard ads.
