Help Alcatel Fierce 2 kitkat issue

Quick settings icon seems to disappear during screen rotation. Below explains how to emulate the issue.

Found a bug in the stock rom. Try it out so you can see what I mean.
1.) Turn on auto rotate.
2.) Open chrome
3) Turn your screen horizontal
4.) Pull down the status bar blind
5.) Now rotate your screen vertical
6.) Your quick settings icon will now appear to be missing, however when your are able to pull down your blind in horizontal you will see that it is still there. Essentially the quick setting icon becomes relocated when horizontal and does not revert back to previous location when vertical.

The following post shows a fix. If another permanent fix is available please share.

The color status bar app in the app store seems to resolve the issue. I have installed and tested and it works great.
Two check boxes must be punched for this to work. Picture in below post.

I found another solution with two fingers down the notification bar at the top and shows the full menu.

If low with two fingers on top and the rapid adjustment menu appears.
