Help All my photos have been deleted :(

I went onto my gallery earlier and all my photos had gone. I hadn't deleted them myself so any ideas what could of caused this? And any way I can recover the photos I've lost?

Are you certain they're gone? Hook your Desire to a computer and search through the folders. Maybe they just got moved somehow.

Samsung 4gb. It's the one that came with the phone.

One of my friends recommended a restoration program, so I ran that and the files came up but I can't save them.

There was no majorly important photos and most of them are on my computer anyway but it'd be nice to get the others back! And I wanna avoid this happening again if possible,

Get a decent card. The supplies one is dodgy. If you have used an app,
That's the best way. If its a paid for app, often the trial locates but doesn't allow recovery.

In future, look into setting up a backup routine. If you have win 7 I can help with that
