Alpha test new QR-code website

I'm working on a qr-code generating site called qqrr.it.

The idea is it's like tiny-url except the urls aren't tiny and it makes images instead.

I'd like to have people help me stress-test/monkey-test/torture test it before I release it to a wide audience.

The site is already up here:

Try to break it; put whatever you want in there and see if you can make it cry, and let me know what you find.

Also, try any exploits you can to see how they work. Just don't be malicious



A few things to try:

1. Prepend http://qqrr.it/ to any url (example: http://qqrr.it/http://androidforums.com to get a QR-code for that url
2. Go to http://qqrr.it/ and enter stuff in the boxes to generate the urls for you.

This is a work in progress, so please don't start using these images on your production-quality websites in case I have to break how the urls work.

It needs the ability to read forward slashes... currently doesn't understand them when applying into a URL.

Blob doesn't seem to handle the degrees character (alt-0176) or the euro symbol (alt-0128).
Scanning the QR produces only empty text.

I tested the dollar symbol (alt-036) and this worked ok.

Splat appears to recognize these characters though.

What are the differences between Blob and Splat? The Splat results are urlencoded, so is Splat only intended for URL links?

This may be what I've been looking for. Can you provide examples for proper escaping of special characters in a mailto? Why does blob escape special characters differently? It would be great if you would PM me to discuss how I could use this to create lists of QR codes.

Can you explain the difference between Splat and Blob? so far blob looks like its just a text entry, enter whatever you want, all normal symbols work just fine, and Splat looks like only Urls, but I cant be sure, if this is true I would add a little comment, just like you did in the Apps tab, above the EditText
