In Gmail App and gTalk app there is a checkbox for "Also Vibrate When Email Arrives" (Gmail) and "Also Vibrate When IM Arrives" (gTalk). I notice when I have sound notifications on, when I receive a Gmail or a gTalk IM, my phone both makes a sound and vibrates. When I turn my phone to vibrate-only mode, it vibrates when I receive a Gmail or gTalk. But if I uncheck the "Also Vibrate When IM Arrives" in Gmail or gTalk, and turn the phone to vibrate-only mode, then it does not vibrate at all when I receive a Gmail or gTalk. Here's my dilemma: When I have sounds on, I want it to play a sound when I receive a Gmail or gTalk, but I do NOT want it to vibrate. When I have vibrate-only mode on, I want it to vibrate when I receive a Gmail or gTalk. Any way to accomplish this so that when sounds are on, it does not also vibrate? Edit: in other words, with Gmail and gTalk, is it all or nothing? It either always vibrates or never vibrates?
