Am I being silly, or does this warrant sending my phone back?

Firstly I deserve credit for the hilarious pun in the title.

    Anyway!

The battery cover...sigh. To explain it would make it seem like such an insignificant problem but...considering I spent lots of precious monies on a SIM free Desire, I want it to be perfect, right?
    So here goes.

The battery cover...at the top, if I tap it, there's a tiny space. I can push it in.
It's just...this horrible little niggle considering it's hugely noticeable when handling the phone, which is what you do with a phone. Handle it.

On top of this is that I have vibrate on for when typing. And there's this buzzing/rattling sort of noise when it vibrates. I've tried sort of clenching the top-back when typing and it stops.

It's such an infuriating little issue and I've tried putting up with it, but it does my head in every time I touch the phone, which since it's my shiny new toy is extremely often.

Heck, even if I did send it back would they deem it as a fault? I'd try a new battery cover but by the time one came I'd prob be out of my send-back-period.

    So..thoughts?

TL:DR, battery cover = tiny space at top = irritating moveability of cover + rattling/buzzing when typing with vibrate on.

I sent mine back to HTC with the very same Clicking problem during hepatic feedback aswel as a bunch of other things. Still waiting for the phone to be returned nearly two weeks later despite the online ticket saying it is ready to be sent back to me since Monday. Getting a little annoyed.

I have the slight rattle during haptic feedback (as well as when I tap the rear of the phone), it's supposed to be the auto-focus mech of the camera, I just live with it.

I returned my phone a few weeks ago because I had the 'loses vibration' issue, they say they replaced the vibration assembly (my phone also sat for 3/4 days in the 'ready to be picked up stage') but as I expected it was returned exactly as it was sent.

I've just turned off haptic feedback off, but the feel of it in my hand of it...not being flush, and being moveable - it's so irritating, esp as I said I bought the phone outright and not on contract

I'm having this issue with my battery cover as well now. I've only removed the cover twice, but it started happening after I removed it for the second time. There's just a slight bit of movement on the upper right hand side, but it's enough to be annoying and I can feel it every time I use the phone. If it was a

Phone returned yesterday. All faults it was sent back for are still there. To be honest I dont think the phone has even been looked at. Not happy at all.

i had this problem from the outset and like you it drove me batty
i rang T-mob (UK) and said the battery cover doesn't fit properly and they didnt argue simply sent me a new one in the post
fair play to t-mob and the new one seems a much better quality, taken it off a few times now (not if i can help it mind) and its still fine 4 months into having phone.
