Can your Phone connect to your router when you are not in your room? I find it hard to believe that your PC can pick up the wireless signal but your phone can't.

yes it can, got no problem when im downstairs or near the stairs on the 2nd floor... my phone sometimes gets 1 bar but it looses the signal fast when i'm in my room... i was wondering if one could bounce the signal from my wifi receiver thats connected to my pc and relay it to my phone? like an adhoc kinda thing? thing is i dont know how to do it and cant find it in the net

If you wanted to try it, you'd need a second wireless adapter in your PC, and even then I couldn't guarantee it would work since Android has been notoriously uncooperative with adhoc network connections. A better solution would be to get a second access point on your network, closer to your bedroom, or (and I don't recommend theses, because my limited experience with them has always been unfavorable) try a network extender which is a standalone wireless repeater.
