Sounds good, I guess. They really need to solve this issue somehow, though..
Some of us are still stuck with 1.5 mainly due to carriers inability to release updates.
The Eve by Rogers is still stuck at 1.5:
Watch that pie change when HTC Hero 2.1 update is released...
It's hard to find threads about this with any real answers. When is this going to be?
It's going to be right around the time my magical ear elf comes out from winter. His name is Erik.
Crazy weekend for Samsung-Firmwares! Stay tuned. Like you know we are always first!!!
WHATS THIS MEAN?!!! I have this damn Behold 2 and I want 2.1 !!! Its probably false hope..thats all we've been getting lately......
i honestly didnt think that many android 2.1 phones were out. i've heard of alot of phones "supposedly" getting 2.1, but not officially having them yet. oh well. lets just wait til about july/august, have them all upgraded to 2.5, and keep it that way for about 6-8 months and call it a day .
when is droid eris getting 2.1 ota update, my wife has a eris i have a moto droid and i have 2.1 ota on mine. i just wanted to know when eris is getting it i love 2.1
by the time heros update comes out I will have a totally different andriod with 2.1 already installed.
Isn't the reason that android 2.1 is on 25% of android phones because 25% of android phones are Motorola Droids? And if this is true, then really only 7% of the 30 "versions" of android phones have 2.1 (Nexus One and Motorola Droid). Whatever....just thinking out loud I guess.
That's kinda what I was thinking too...Droid sold/is selling like crazy...
Carriers seem to be the main problem. Daughter wanted to upgrade her phone to Galaxy Portal after seeing one in 3Store, however we are with T-Mobile and ordered it on the phone. Portal arrives and daughter complains it doesn't work the same, after lots of questionsto unhelpful help lines turnsout te phone she saw in 3Store had 2.1 on and TMobile provided theirs with 1.5.
Why can one provider get it right and one get it so wrong
