The Motorola Droid is still widely considered the 4th best Android device out right now, and is the most popular. It is not outdated at all.

Oh, Nevermind then you're probably right. Every android device will be outdated or have tons of phones better than them a year after they come out. Only problem with android.

Noob question here... the 2.2 update that is available for the N1... would that work on a Desire?
I know they're technically not the same handset, but I've also heard that there's a lot about them that is very similar.

If froyo really speeds up the phone by several times and the other phones with custom UI's take months and months to get it after Droid, Droid may very well be the second fastest android phone after Nexus One for quite some time.

No? Evo4g/Incredible/Samsung Galaxy S will all be far ahead of the original Droid.

Droid will be updated faster until the second version arrives due to being vanilla android with no ui tweeks..
