Android 2.2 Packs 5x Performance Boost, says Report

If Eris gets 2.2, then it surely will increase performance. Android 2.2 enables JIT (Just in Time). People who have been running it on the Droid say it very clearly improves performance an benchmarking, but this is on baked roms, and enabling JIT can be very flaky at times (which is why I haven't tried it)...I would think (and hope) that it would be an even BIGGER improvement on lesser hardware, but I'm not sure..

From what I've heard, yes you can. It doesn't play nicely with sense though.

mm figured. Sense is amazing, but it needs to learn to play nice
