I would like this version, anyone installed this one?
There is no functional ROM with Froyo yet. You will have to wait, but nobody cant surely say, if it will be possible or not.
Good news is, that the phone can be rooted same as Pulse Mini:
19/May - Superboot - rooting the Pulse Mini - Android @ MoDaCo
This is first step to get Froyo on this device
so if it comes will it be via vodaphone or someone else and how would they deliver it
As a Vodafone employee, chances are it wont get the 2.2 treatment i hate to say guys, it seems like its more a practise phone to see if people will go budget android over htc wildfire
its a shame i came to it from owning a sony x10 and i like the 845
to be fair their both extremely good phones for android on a budget, but by the same token i think this was always Vodafones way of testing the waters for putting smart phones onto pay as you go.
i have the feeling personally it will be replaced by a slightly better model as the 845 certainly has afew limits to its potential
i do prefer the x10 mini pro (sliding keyboard version) i just didnt like the home screen layout.
I changed mine with zeam
Somehow I have it, I use my phone everyday, and then one day I went to the market and it looked different.
I figured it was just an update to the app or the market server itself, until I saw that my friend who also has the V845 does NOT have the same GUI when he accesses the market. I thought it was one of my apps so I left it for a while and now I just did a search on google for android market 2.2 and that's how my market looks.
No idea how or why it happened. I'd like to help people get it, but I wanna know how I got it first lol
[ROM] [Huawei U8100] Froyo Wifi enabled version
[ROM] [Huawei U8100] Froyo Wifi enabled version - xda-developers
still in early stages, but showing a lot of potential. dpad and wireless issues on u8120 (vodafone 845) and some streamlining needs to be done - speed issues.
Personally, I can't wait!
Ok sorry for being thick but how do you get this on the phone . For a non techie person
