Help android app help

I have been trying to transfer my wife's game data from her old tablet to our new one, finally got a app, tappouch,file transfer to send the game data to the new tablet but it put it in a apk folder and do not know how to install it or apply it to the game.( its a free game ) if I can, and I assume that Ill need to change the google account on this new tablet to her old one for this to work ,so it will pick up her data from the servers ??? Thank you

Accounts do need to be the same - and try Helium Backup, see if that helps with a full restore to the new device.
