Help Android apps displaying increased problems in the past few days

Last week my Samsung Galaxy S4 updated its kernel to a March 25, 2014 version. Since that time, a number of apps have been displaying issues. The crackle application only crashs - it never runs. Amazon Kindle occasionally runs, but mostly crashes. Some of the games - like WTP? and Bejeweled 3 have been struggling to run.

I have powered the phone completely off and back on, but that has not helped.

I don't want to hit the factory reset until I have some method of documenting exactly what options are currently set; otherwise, I might never get some things working again.

Is anyone else seeing issues? If so, have you found a solution other than resetting everything?

Back up everything, write down all the settings, bring the phone into the carrier and ask them to reflash the last OTA. It didn't flash right. (It happens - one of my phones totally hard-bricked from an OTA update and they had to replace it.)
