Android Email - Shortcuts & Text to Speech

I have 2 questions for fellow users of this forum. Q1. Do you know how can I set up shortcuts in my android email client while writing emails. For example - I want "TFYE" to convert into "thanks for your email" or "T&R" to convert into "Thanks & Regards". One of my buddies does that in BB and it saves lots of time. Q2. How can I have my Android phone read me my emails (Text to Speech) as they arrive. Specially when I am driving and Bluetooth in ON. Any help on above questions will be greatly appreciated. -G
