android market broken all week andown today, any ideas?Support

    Google customer support takes for ever to get back to you. I have not been able to update apps all week and cannot access the market this day. Seems to be a common problem experienced by many. Anyone else feeling this? Any ideas what they are up to?

    Why would you post this? This is no good in respect to the title of this thread. I am in search of other people experiencing the same problems. And people who have information pertaining to the problem not looking for those whose device works fine...

    No reason to call names. All people should follow rules and procedures in all parts of life. I am just saying the way this particular topic works.. this is a forum. They work a certain way. So Travis will govern my topic of discussion.

    yeah i am having no issues with viewing, downloading or the checkout process.

    to the OP, you say this is experienced by many but then you ask if anyone else has seen this.

    where are all those many people who are having issues? why not post THERE wherever that is?

    i see members here posting that they are not having any issues so perhaps you should state what issues you are seeing and maybe you can get more help instead of getting defensive? your reaction is causing the reaction you are seeing.

    so lets start this off again.. :)

    are you rooted? what program(s) are causing you drama?

    what steps have you taken to troubleshoot your device?

    has this happened to you on prior market purchases? or just free apps?

    we are here to help you...let us mmkay? :)

    Your right it is odd that I can find many users experiencing issues when I Google my issue. and then tons of topics on the Android support site about this same issue. No I don't root my devices. I'm also not interested in having someone coach me on troubleshooting. I just decided to come to my favorite Android fan site and see if there was common trouble.

    to the OP,
    i dont think anyone here is trying to coach you on how to troubleshoot. i do not mean to belittle you in anyway. i just want us all to be on the same page so that we can cover the same ground.

    im sure you want an answer ASAP and thats what i am trying to spark here. relevant dialog so that you can get on your way to enjoying your device.

    the internet is full of complaints, such as sites dedicated to devices. as im sure you know, more people post for ISSUES rather than PRASIE for their device--hence why you see MORE complaints.

    i can tell you i dont have any issues with the market and have not had any issues. granted, i have about 30 apps with maybe 12 or so paid. none of those gave me any issues.

    so since you are stock, that helps. are you over wifi or using 3g or 4g when experiencing this?

    since you have found sites that state issues, were their any fixes posted??

    if you want some help, post some information that the members can use... again i dont think anyone wants to cause you any ill will or harm so let your guard down...

    well, if you want to complain and dont care for help/positive feedback, then let me know and i will not waste any more of your time...

    Mine has been working fine . Marctronixx, being the wonderful moderator he is has asked some questions that will help us pinpoint your exact issue.

    I will add....

    What steps have you tried to resolve your issue?
    Are you having any other issues that are internet related?

    I'm not rooted
    Tried to update maps in market
    doesn't finish download
    when I try to cancel the download, market crashes
    so haven't been able to update maps

    first time I've had this problem with market since had the Evo

    i had a problem a while ago in witch they took FOREVER to start downloading. but it works now

    FWIW, no problems with Market (or anything else) for me in the Atlanta area.

    do you experience the problem on 3g
    do you experience the problem on wifi
    do you have and experience the issue on 4g
    Have you cleared data for the market app
    Have you tried a soft and hard reset

    following up on the topic, it turns out there is a problem withan update the actual market itself and the only solution seems to be roll back the market to an earlyer version.

    the version of the market that seems to offer this problem is ver. 2.12 and it rolls back to version 1.82
    all though this dosn't solve my problem because i cannot use 1.82, as soon as the market is opened it automatically downloads the 2.12. but this seems to have helped some.
    i just wanted to update Pocket Legends because i am addicted! lol
    all the other floating updates can wait for a fix and i was lucky, i uninstalled legends and reinstalled it to the latest version but this does not work for all apps some are lost untill they fix this problem...
