Are you getting advertising from market developers?

I made the mistake of posting my phone number on a craigslist post and that started my nightmare of unwanted texts.

Yea, I just started getting them also. Right now it is just two a day, but I have all ready complained to Verizon. I also turned off the ability to have my phone receive any texts from the web or email yesterday and have not yet received any more yet.

I really doubt this was because of applications on your phone.

What are the texts actually advertising?

I got a bunch from the one number. In the text there was an 800 number which was actually a mobile help line, and they took me off the text list.

"Kyle need extra cash today? You qualify for a payday loan. Reply "PayDay" for more info Reply STOP to end."
I don't even know a Kyle and have never suscribed to any of those text messaging services. I don't want to reply at all for fear that I will just get more of them.

"Thx 4 visiting our site call 877 ###-#### to claim your $20 walmart gift card. Reply stop 2Unsub or call 415 ###-#### Unsub now"

Another similar to the above with different numbers

I have not recieved any since I blocked messages from the web and email.
