android only loading google websites

yesterday I started having a problem with my samsung captivate (loaded with cm7) where the internet will work, but only for google websites. on wifi, any website will load just fine but everything else only loads google, whether that be google maps, searching, etc (but trying to pull up a webpage from the search won't work). any of my applications that need an internet connection won't work either. any ideas?
