hi guys,

I have Sony Xperia x10 mini pro, its unable to save contacts and gets errors.
My phone's USB connector does not work though, im using seperate charger and sd card works as well as wifi.

Best is just to reload the thing but im not to clued up on how to go about it.
I think at the same time to root it as well whilst working with the guts of it.

Rooting and upgrading with a pc is out of the question.

Is there any way to root and reload my phone to the newest android os via sd card or wifi?

If possible please send steps required.

If you have the Superuser app installed, then you should be rooted already.

Have you tried resetting the phone to factory defaults? Should be Settings -> Privacy.
Isn't there an app that updates the ROM over the air (or perhaps via WiFI)?
I've installed a custom ROM on my X10 Mini Pro, so I don't know what's available on the stock ROM, but anything useful would be in the Settings.
