Hey, does anyone think AT&T will release a high end android device (i.e., nice HTC phone) with a slide out QWERTY keyboard? The HTC Desire Z/T-mobile G2 looks like a very promising device as well as Sprint's Samsung Epic, but I am in a family plan with AT&T, so its not possible to switch carriers right now.

Should I give up any hopes of getting a good android device from AT&T that fits my needs? If AT&T keeps this up, then I will eventually jump ship to another carrier.

    On Contract:
    Motorola BackFlip
    Motorola FlipOut (rumored)

Off Contract with AT&T 3G Bands:
Motorola Milestone (Canadian, Telus. Exactly like Droid 1)
Maybe some low end devices which I do not know of.

The Samsung Galaxy Q MIGHT come onto AT&T but who knows.

I don't really like the designs of either motorola devices...they also seem low end. One of my lines is eligible for an upgrade, so I was hoping to get a phone for a subsidized price.

I just googled Samsung Galaxy Q, very interesting specs! But a 3" screen...:(

Droid Pro supposedly supports AT&T's UTMS bands, and should qualify for the "MediaNet" plan @ $15/mo. My N900 is on AT&T with MediaNet, per the store rep.

Yeah, I know that, it's a world phone, but I was hoping to get it for a subsidized price instead of the no contract price (probably $500-$600).
