Android Tablet hard reset

Hi, a friend of mine blocked his android tablet and i want to do a hard factory reset by pressing Power + Vol+, but it stuck at a point with an open android(new user, cannot post links or images )
then, after ~5 min, it restarts automatically, why ?
It's E-BODA Essential A300

If I understand you correctly, your friend locked his tablet and for whatever reason couldn't unlock it. You are trying to help him by performing a factory reset? I'm not sure what you mean by "open Android" unless you mean the android robot lying on his back with an open panel on his chest. Is there a red triangle? That usually means that recovery cannot be found.

I am also not sure what the "new user" message means, unless there are multiple user accounts on the device.
