Android video edit app

Bear with me. Just getting into android on a tablet and way behind the times. Hoping someone may be able to save my sanity.

I have a Lenovo Tab A10 70F tablet and an SJ4000 camcorder (records in MOV format) and was wondering if there is an app that would allow me to transfer videos from the camera to my Lenovo, let me edit the video, then vshare it on FB or YouTube. (Want to do some videos while fly fishing and share the scenery & results.)

Any suggestions, or is it not possible to get it from one to the other?

Thanks for any assists.

Phil

MOV is Apple Quicktime, which is fine if you live in the Apple world. Not so good if you want to be compatible with everything else. Don't know why they make some camcorders record in Quicktime MOV, maybe they assume everyone has a Mac?

Try Total Video Converter, that's supposed to be able to convert MOV to something more usable in Android.

Are you using a USB cable or SJCAM's app to transfer your vids from your camera to your tablet? If you're using SJCAM's app it appears to be a pretty basic app, you might want to try and experiment with some third-party app that has more extensive features. Check the settings on your SJCAM too, looking online at your camera's specs it supports both mov and h.264/AVC as output formats.

Also, Youtube has a useful online video editor that might be more suitable for your needs.

Using USB.
Do you happen to know where I could find the app? Recently moved and can't find the box or any info that came with the SJ4000! Will check out your Google link.
Will check out the YouTube edit too. Figured I'd post on my page there then do a link in the fly fishing groups on FB. Will post reports on what I find.

EDIT: Just checked on the play.Google app but it's for the WiFi version of the camera. Mind's the basic so not workable.

As an aside, and drifting from your initial posting, if you're planning on doing more involved editing of your video files I'd tentatively recommend using an application on a computer as opposed to your tablet. Both Mac and Windows include their own basic video editors but I like the feature set of AVIdemux, it's a free, Open Source program that can work with a large number of file formats and codecs. Primarily a Linux application it's also available for OS X and Windows. But that's just my preference, there's no shortage of other third-party applications out there.

svim. Thanks for the info. On the Wn$ side all I have is a Surface RT. ( Yoyo at Best Buy guaranteed I could convert to Linux. Missed their 30 day return by 1 day!) Do have Linux in an HP tablet and will check out AVIdemux there.

Just want to do some simple edit like clipping run time down but doesn't look to promising on the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 model. Guess it will give me something to experiment with on funky, rainy days.

Thanks for the links and will check them out.
