This seems to be a pretty big piece of news that very few people are talking about: T-Mobile makes Wi-Fi calling on Android official Boy Genius Report

I have wifi (UMA) calling on my Blackberry, which is a pretty nifty feater when you're outside of the US or in a poor coverage area.

This would be a killer feature on Android.

Well, skype just got released, so this probably got shoved into the corner.

This is really cool, as it's the reason I don't currently use T-Mobile. Overall they've been my favorite carrier, but my apartment doesn't get reception from any cell service. All of the other majors at least have microcells/network extenders. The only thing that isn't great about the android wifi calling is that it's not true UMA, meaning it won't hand off to cell towers. So if you make a call while using wifi calling, your call will drop once you're out of range.
