I want to download Angry Birds because everyone says its awesome. I have .95gb left on my SD card and 443MB left on my internal memory ( Angry Birds is 12.23MB). The first time I tried to download it it said the installation was unsuccessful. I tried to install it again and I got this popup message: "unknown error -18." I have no idea what that means so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction so I can have as much fun as the rest of Android family.
I'm unrooted and have the OTA 2.2 update if that helps.

Angry Birds defaults to install to your SD card. It sounds like there is an issue with installing apps2sd, though you should have plenty of room on your SD card.

Which 2.2 update are you on? FRG01B or FRG22D?

I just downloaded the apk file and put it on my phone and installed it with Astro, and an error popped up saying "Application not installed"... :-(

Alright found a fix. I hooked my phone up to my computer, browsed to .android_secure and deleted the file 'smdl2tmp1.asec'. Problem solved.

its easy. i just did it.

on your phone, go to settings -> connect to PC -> default connection type -> select "disk drive." click done.

plug phone into computer. click open with explorer. the computer should then open 2 windows, one titled "removable disk"

the first folder is titled ".android_secure"

    delete the file "smdl2tmp1.asec"

unhook the phone and try installing angry birds.

ps: i did this on a droid incredible. not 100% sure if its the same.
