There have been a couple of threads here about this issue (Including mine...) that were asking for help. Instead of going through all of those threads and posting my findings, I figured I'd make a thread for the purpose of identifying the problem.
Issue: When plugging phone into the wall charger, touch screen becomes unresponsive or just plain laggy as hell. Unplugging the phone instantly resolves this issue. Also, in my case, tipping the plug that is in the phone one direction or another partially fixes it, though still a bit laggy/unresponsive.
After doing some testing with a couple friends with Androids, I have figured it out. The Adapter that I was using didn't have the correct Output settings.
Input: 100-240 V AC
Output: 5V 1A
Swapping it out with another adapter that has:
Input: 100-240V AC
Output: 5V 850 mA
This resolved the problem 100%. I hope this helps somebody, as I've been dealing with this on my OG Droid for the last 3 months.
NOTE: I may just be crazy as well, and maybe my adapter is just broken. Either way, a different adapter cured me.
If this needs to be combined with another thread or what not, a MOD can delete this and I can add the notes to the thread. Just wanted a thread OP to have all the information.
