Antivirus

Discussion in 'Android Devices' started by jdailey1981, Oct 18, 2010.

  1. Does anyone use them and are they still needed? I have heard that Android has built in virus protection. In another I read that Android is not capable of getting viruses. Can anyone elaborate on this?

I'm sure any smart phone is vulnerable, but yes, the Android system does have built-in antivirus software.

Lookout is a great antivirus app though!!! You can locate your phone if lost/stolen and make it scream! Also it can back up your data and it scans every single app you download to check if its safe (this is very useful since android allows third party app installations). Here's a commercial for it↓
