I have a specialist/niche gps tracking app for metal detectorists.
In the last week I have had two reports of google maps not showing. One report from a new user (Samsung S4), and the other from a long term user (Acer510). They both say that they just get a grey screen with the google watermark on it. There has been no changes to the app since last July. I was half expecting an avalanche of users reporting the same thing, but thankfully just the two so far..
My question is.. Has something changed with google maps api recently? I cannot think of any explanation other than that.
Just to complicate things.. there are two versions, a demo and and full version. Both users say that the demo version still works as it should. The demo is just the same as the full version, limited 'saves' being the only difference.
Can anyone shed any light on what may be happening please?
