(Any) Chargers for Tethering, PDANet, Wi-Fi Hotspot Maker In Froyo?

Hey I was wondering if all of these tethering and tethering-like features actually add some fees and charges to your bill. I would be getting an N1 on ATT so, yeah.

not really, unless you go overboard.. isnt att putting a cap on there dataplans very soon? 2gb plan , 4gb , etc.. I forget the exact amounts but look into it

Just let At&t know that you want tethering and they'll hook you up with fees.

Personally, I use mine for tethering when on the road and am on-call to connect my Laptop when free wi-fi is not around.

I don't go overboard and just use as needed and have never had fees.

Although, I am on T-Mobile and no cap...

AT&T will have no way of knowing you're tethering on your N1, assuming the feature isn't in some way altered by Google when the official OTA rolls out. The only problem is that if you don't have an unlimited AT&T data plan now, you can't get it. You'll have to go with the 2GB plan ($25) and they will charge you $10 for every GB over that.

Adding tethering to your plan might be more on the up and up, but you don't get any more data. Also, it will run you another $20 per month for them to say it's cool for you to do something you can already do. The iPhone is locked down in this department. Users have to add the plan to tether, they have no choice. We'll just have to see what Froyo looks like when the final build is out.
