There's a plethora of music production and midi sequencing apps for the iPhone, enough that you can definitely use your phone as a sketchpad for serious professional or semi-professional music. The iDrum and NanoStudio apps, for instance, all offer a sequencer that goes well beyond 16 steps (multitrack for NanoStudio). This week, an app came out that will let you control Ableton Live remotely from your phone. Does anyone know if there are any serious developers working on these kinds of applications? I don't really want to buy an iPod touch but those are all applications that I could really use, especially while traveling.
