I am looking for an arm band that will fit the HTC Hero for sprint. I have saw a generic on Ebay but i am always a little bit skeptical about buying generic cases. Has anyone bought any arm bands for this?? I really want this so that i can workout with it.

    Two questions.

First, do I need biceps like that to hold it up?

Second, does it have enough room to allow a phone with a cover (such as my Otter Box)? My guess is no, since it would probably be too loose for use without a case.

I just sent a question to the seller concerning the Otter Box in case we here from them before someone here. It looks like they sell several different armbands... they use the same picture for each ad, except for the last one that shows the specific device... so I suspect this isn't super form fitting.

I'll post here when I get a response.

First time poster here (I post sometimes on androidcentral), but to answer the question...
I bought an armband from iarmbands.com. It is the large universal armband.
LARGE ARM Universal fit Arm Band - iArmBands.com - Arm bands for ipods and mp3 players

I use a case also (it's a $5 cheap case from amazon) and it still fits. It's a decent fit (the phone doesn't move around) but there is probably a little room for a bigger case if necessary. The plastic screen for the case is big so you will be able to press everything any button on the screen or hard buttons.
I only have 2 minor gripes:
    1) B/c its not made specifically for the hero, the plastic screen of the case isn't a perfect fit and doesn't lie completely flat all the time, meaning sometimes I have to press the screen twice, but the screen is still very responsive (can even change homescreens) .
2)I hate is that it is difficult to change songs while running b/c of no hard buttons to press (not the armbands fault).

I currently can't post a picture because i don't have the armband with me, but I will later if anyone is interested.

I just heard back from the Ebay seller...

By my measurement the Hero with the Otter Box is slightly too tall, and on the border for the other dimensions...
