I was out and about today with my new Droid and it happened to be very sunny today making it near impossible to see the screen. Any settings I can adjust or screen Protector/filter I could but to fix this?

This is perhaps the worst problem with this phone. I would be interested in the same info. Its almost impossible to see the screen outside in the sun.

You can buy a anti-glare screen protector. I forgot the site though. Google it.

I use auto-brightness when over 60% battery life, and have no issues with not being able to see the screen. Its been tougher at times, but nothing too bad.

If you put the brightness all the way up (I use the power control widget) i can see the screen perfectly.

I'd rather kill my battery a little than get a protector. In my opinion it affects the responsiveness of the touchscreen.

yeah, i was VERY impressed by how well i could view the phone's screen outside in the sun with the screen on full brightness! VERY huge plus for me! and i hate SP's cause they make the screen feel sticky...weird stuff...don't need one with the droid though lol
