Any updates on my device and/or carrier?

I've got T-mobile, MyTouch 3G Slide. All this talk about "updates" "froyo" etc. Anyone know if my device is getting this "froyo" software?

I'm new to all this android stuff and have no idea about any of it..

If you do a google search for mytouch 3g froyo it will show that yes you will be getting an update, but it doesnt say when

T-mobile said all MyTouch 3G devices are supposed to get the Android 2.2 OS (aka Froyo) but they never mentioned a release date or even a time frame. T-mobiles phone road map for the rest of the year shows a MyTouch 3G bullet point in August, but it wasn't clear what it is for. Hopefully it's not just a MyTouch 3G HD announcement.
