Is there any way to change some of the minor settings in Android? I'm imagining something like a registry database where various system apps keep their settings. I'd love to find a way to change:
- How long of a press is required to select an icon or button
- Customize what the soft buttons do for one press and a long press
- How the process manager decides to kill apps not in use
- Number of stories in the news reader
- What hours of the day email/sync is done
- Number of items shown in calendar widget
- Tweak the auto-brightness control
- Number of retries for wifi reconnect
I'm sure there are more. Anyone know a way to tweak the OS like this?
