Anyone able to view the new mobile youtube site?

    I noticed the youtube news yesterday about its new mobile site, but when i log onto the stock EVO internet browser and Dolphin HD, it looks nothing like the site in the video and still asks me if I want to use HTC Flash Player or Youtube app to play the video.

    Also it seems to only choose HTC Flash Player now, how do I reset the defaults for this?

    m.youtube.com works on my Evo. Looks great too...

    mine on stock browser look like that site except it's missing the HQ option. Without the HQ option, it's not comparable to the app.

    does it play in the browser or does it open HTC Flash Player or the Youtube app?

    It's still opening the HTC Flash player which means we aren't really seeing the "new mobile youtube"

    Change your browser setting to mobile view and it will work as advertised.

    Notice how they never showed the Android Youtube playback interface??? Anyone have any ideas why apple's Youtube app looks better than Android?

    I mean, Google owns Youtube and Android, you'd think it would look better on Android, but no.

    using dolphin HD, you get a choice of weather the flash player or the stock youtube app opens it up. The flash player makes videos look like crap.

    I haven't been able to get the new Youtube to work, keeps opening up in the stock flash player.

    I know this is a bit off topic, but I didn't want to start a whole thread for this little problem. But can someone tell me why, the website "cracked.com"(funny site btw) doesn't stay in FULL desktop mode? I have the "mobile sites" option UNchecked. and when I scroll to the bottom to click cracked.com online, it goes to the full page next, but then when I view an article, say the article for the day at top left, it goes back to mobile. Its annoying.

    Still plays in HTC Flash Player for me even though this is checked.

    If I use the stock browser opens up in HTC Flash Player. However I usually open it up in Dolphin HD and there is no option for HD. However, after you tell it to open in youtube it will give you the HD button. Looks awesome.

    Android 2.1 browser does not have HTML5 video capabilities. 2.2 Browser will. I've put a custom 2.2 Froyo ROM on my Evo and it has the HD option and does NOT open in the flash player or Youtube app.

    Oddly this could simply mean that the stock browser just doesn't support HTML 5.

    So - to see the problem - go to The HTML5 test - How well does your browser support HTML5?

    Scroll down to the VIDEO section - the stock browser is supporting the video element in html5 - but it doesn't have any sort of handoff or codec support for H.264.

    I was in the youtube beta, and as I recall, vids are now supposed to be html5/H.264

    - not Flash of any kind.
